Monty Orton

Profile:
Monty started archery in 2016 after spending a couple of years sitting in a tent at competitions watching his younger brother Paddy shoot barebow.

After progressing through AGB National Age Group and Conversion Academies, he was invited to join the Performance Archery Potential Programme in October 2022.

He debuted for GBR in 2021 at the European Youth Cup, and, in 2022, won three golds at the European Youth Championships - U21 individual, U21 team, and the U21 gold across both stages of the Cup. He finished 3rd in the 2022 UK Recurve Men Senior Rankings.

Monty spends his time balancing training with the Olympic Squad in Lilleshall, studying for a degree in Sports & Exercise Science, and part time employment.
