Millie Franklin
Profile:
Hi, my name is Millie. I started Archery in July 2023 as a completely news sport after competing in competitive cheer since I was 5. When I moved into archery, I initially started on a recurve bow, but after 6 months decided that this was no longer for me and moved to Compound and have loved it ever since. I done my first competition with my compound in May 2024 and my first Nationals event in July 2024. Since this, I have achieved 38 Essex & Suffolk County Records, 7 Regional Records & 2 National records alongside British Champion at both the Indoor and Outdoor national events.
My best achievement in Archery is being selected in October 2025 to become part of the GB Pathway squad and having the opportunity to train alongside GB athletes at the performance centre in Lilleshall. However, the best thing that archery has allowed me to do was to be live on the Radio. In February 2025, I had an interview with BBC Essex which was broadcast live and was super cool and exciting to see the studios.
If you see me around, please come and say Hello! My fellow team mates like to call me 'Short stuff' and I always wear matching shoes to my top, which means you'll always see me in purple and white trainers too!
